Kiama Municipal Council is currently undertaking the Planning and Implementing an Age-Friendly Kiama Project which intends to highlight potential options for Council to consider to improve the age-friendliness of the community.

A key component of this project involves using a new easy-to-use 'Liveability' iPad Application, developed by the University of New South Wales, which allows the user to give feedback about the built environment.

If you are 50 years of age or above and interested in age-friendliness, Council would like to hear from you! We are seeking a small group of volunteers to participate in a street walk activity to use the 'Liveability' iPad Application and help identify aspects of the built environment along the main streets in Kiama LGA that you think are important for creating and supporting an age-friendly community. Guided instructions and demonstrations on how to use the 'Liveability' iPad Application will be provided on the day.

Street Walk Session in Jamberoo:

Date: 26 September
Time: 1pm-2pm
Location: Allowrie Street, Jamberoo

A street walk session will also be held in Gerringong:

Time: 10am-11am

A limited number of positions are available so please register your interest by emailing Leanne Drury on or call Julie Errey on (02) 4232 0416
